Our NGO Ballygunge Society for Environment and Development (I.e.-BSED) celebrates World Environment Day on 17th June, 2018 at their adopted village Purba Gopinathpur of Hooghly district.
BSED aims for imparting education to rural people for improving their livelihood status through adapting good agricultural practises for better agricultural productivity and ultimately, income.
At BSED, we firmly believe that small, but determined & sustainable approach for improving the living standards of rural people shall definitely improve the concept of co-existence of environment and development.
Training farmer on good agricultural practices (GAP) for sustainable production and all round development.
Appointing coaches and setting up sports facilities for the younger generation of the rural community.
All round development of rural and remotely located school by improving infrastructure and facilities.
To eliminate the myths and taboos in rural communities about girls during their menstrual period.
BSED SILAI SCHOOL – initiative towards empowering village women for better livelihood development.
Program for better environment through BSED publications & journal, seminar, projects and sponsorships.

BSED launched “Silai School” in their adopted school i.e. Gaza High School located in remote corner of Hooghly district. Around 12 ex-students (female) along with 8 guardians enrolled for the first batch.
Annual athletic and football meet held in our NGO (BSED) adopted village in Gopinathpur, Hooghly on 3rd and 4th Feb 18. It was a true carnival for many underprivileged children of same village.
